First to graduate from Lemon Ave. campus, we trod the "Burma Road" and helped to set the tone. (Reopened 2 Mar '19 by RC) PREVENT SPAM: PLEASE DO NOT post contact information in forum comments!

It is time to reawaken the troops for the big 6-zero. We could all go to Alaska and hang with Dave Morris or to Colombia to annoy Bill Divale, or... Alaska has more room, but Colombia probably has more rooms. It's so confusing! :-)

Any other bucket-list suggestions are welcome, of course.

Back by popular demand, the ever popular Class of 1960 reunion. We've hidden the planning comments from 2010; but historians may request special dispensation. :-)

We're working on our first mailing for 2020. This would be a good time to ask your friends to update their contact data on this website.

It would be very difficult, but perhaps not impossible, for me to get away during May through July. The reunion could be held here in Alaska. I only have 3 bedrooms, but I have slept 23 people comfortably here when the sockeye (red) salmon are running. My first choice for a reunion date would be August.

OK! We're on course to share information and ideas. This will be shared by committee and classmates for maximum distribution.

DM, Janell indicated she'd make a list of the balance of classmates not already in alumni system (those who have not participated in reunions... since the age of Internet began).

Rees, Thanks for the reset. I mistakenly thought we were starting a new group for this reunion. I believe I have some contact information for Guy Mackey, and I know he is in contact with Steve Atherton. I also have contact information for Mel Caho, Don Kiloh, and Carol Poole. I occasionally see Facebook posts from Andy Siclar. I'll begin to let them know we are up and running.

Thanks, Dave! I've put a "warning" on my Facebook page that about 20 should see.

A list of missing names would be very helpful. Thanks Janell.

I have all four yearbooks. After the first round, perhaps we can go through those, too. There are numerous people who were part of our class at some point but do not appear in senior records, including many friends from elementary. My view would be that we should include all and sundry.

Attention all: A bit hard to coordinate from thousands of miles. Soon we will need SoCal colleagues; this would be a good time to jump in (toe-dipping acceptable for the moment).

Here's the interim procedure for the 1960 class reunion. (Not from 1960, planning gathering? Perhaps TCHS Alumni News can help.)

Dave Morris and I held an online Seattle-Osaka meeting 3/26 and discussed logistics. Round One will be an all-out push to find everyone, beginning with a general mailing mid-April. We'll need willing fingers to update contact data, too. If you would like to join the effort, just sign in and post a comment.

Sadly I must report the loss of Gary Ranker on 28 April. A friend to many and an advocate for all. We last spoke a couple of years ago. I shall miss him.

This is not a good week. I've learned that Randy Emerson died in 1984 after a career as a medical examiner and a stint in Vietnam, where he rose to captain. Another jolt.

A preliminary mailing to assess reunion interest went out early this afternoon. Four responses in the first hour, so either people still remember TC'60 or they have too much time on their hands. I'll report results in a week or so. Then we'll look at the list of the uncontacted and have a go at finding them; volunteers are needed for that job.

After 24 hours we've had 12 replies. It will help if participants shake the trees to wake up the old folks. :-)
