Registration

Registration on the site is open to all persons who formerly attended Temple City (California) High School. We also welcome "friends of TCHS" - ask the Editor for more information for non-alumni.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. We strive to avoid publishing confidential information, including contact data. Your data are stored in a way that is not used to build the website. We share contact data (address, telephone and email) only with

  • class coordinators for purposes of class activities like reunions
  • on a limited basis with our service providers for purposes defined by the association only.

We do not share or sell confidential information to third party commercial interests. Additional security and privacy procedures of our service providers also apply for your protection.

That said, the Web is an inherently public place, and we do not guarantee that you will remain inaccessible. We urge that you not post your contact data in comments in the forums, the news, or other open text fields in the site or in your personal space.

Subscription Membership

Subscription is encouraged. A donation to TCHS Alumni News Assn. is required. The amount is posted in the Membership section. Subscribers may access additional features of the site and may contribute to the News Views. Other benefits are described elsewhere on the site. Funds received are used first to support the web site, and any surplus is retained in contemplation of an alumni scholarship fund. This is a non-profit site.

Community Standards

Submissions to the site (news, commentaries...) are subject to review by the editor(s). As the purpose of the site is the presentation of news to a wide variety of readers, items submitted or posted in open features must be "family-friendly" and devoid of content that is in the sole discretion of the editor(s) obscene or otherwise offensive. We reserve the right to edit or remove any user-submitted content without notice. Specifically, we will remove hate speech and any hint of incitement to violence against persons or groups.

Accuracy and Timeliness

Much of the site is open for posting by members. The editor(s) do not assume or accept responsibility for errors in member listings, posts or commentaries by users, or advertising content submitted by advertisers. Notice of correction is welcome.

Registrants are responsible for maintenance of their own contact data. If you change your ISP or your residence, please sign in and update your personal information. We are not responsible if you fail to receive information due to obsolete data in your member records.

(Besides, it's fun to update your personal comment and post in the News Views. If you are a subscriber you can also have a personal web log. Use it!)
