Hint: At least one of them wasn't allowed to cross Rosemead Blvd. alone.

This picture brings back happy memories. I believe the title of our float was "Watching Hoppy on TV". The little boy was Kathy Springer's brother Ralphie. I don't remember the little girl. This was the early fifties and Kathy and I were Girl Scouts about maybe nine or ten years old. I am pretty sure we won a trophy. Hope you see this Kathy! Love Nolene 1960 class.

Hey, hey! That was back in your "Nonie" days or before. Kathy sent in the pic. The C. Festival folks used to be sure the whole town was represented, so it's unlikely the girl is from Emperor School. So all you Longden and Cloverly "children" please chime in.

In either 1951 or 1952 my mother won a contest to name a theme for the parade, which was "Hours of Enchantment." Watching Hoppy on tv could have fit this theme. (My mother won a $50 savings bond, which was huge in those days!) Does 1951 or '52 look logical based on the kids' ages?
