TC Little League Anticipates 65th Year
Joshua Kelley, writing in Facebook, notes

"In 2019 Temple City American Little League will celebrate its 65th season. If you have any pictures, stories, memories, or memorablia that you would like to share from your time or your children's time in the league, please submit them to tcallbaseball@gmail.com. Opening Ceremonies are tentatively planned for March 2nd. We invite all alumni to attend. Please spread the word to anyone you know who was a part of TCALL.

Suspect Charged in Murder of Peter Bentz '67
A suspect has been charged with murder in the disappearance of Peter Bentz '67, who disappeared in San Diego in November 2017. Thanks to Dixie Crosby '67 for following up on the story.

Class of '78 Resets Reunion Plan
Kathy Keithley and Brad Fagan '78 write: Our Sepember 15 reunion has been relocated to the Double Tree in Monrovia. BONUS: we are lowering the price of the reunion ticket to $89.00! The price includes a drink ticket, passed appetizers, and Charcuterie platters to start, followed by a carving station featuring Beef Tenderloin, Caesar Salad, mashed potatoes, desserts and coffee, all catered by Elements Restaurant, and held on the newly remodeled exterior patio.

Mark Oliver '77
Mary Oliver Friedrich reports that her brother Mark Oliver '77 died March 29, 2018.

"Mark had been on kidney diaylsis for many years. He passed away due to a heart attack. In his last year he was able to travel in his RV to many places, seeing family and friends," she wrote.

Ms Friedrich is also an enrolled member.
Former English Teacher Maynard Wilson Dies at 93
Barbara Lockie reports via Facebook that "Maynard (Buck) Wilson passed this week in Texas. He was 93. He and Roger (Lockie) coached 12 Championship Freshman Football teams. Buck taught English and was Yearbook instructor."

Never let it be said...
...that the TCHS Alumni News team procrastinates. (Or if 'tis said, say the only example is the publication of the following video slideshow from seven years ago.) The Class of 1960 reunion in 2010 in Pasadena was a classy affair with classy people. That's my story and I'm sticking with it. —RC

Karen Hayes '59
Michael Hayes has reported the death of Karen Hayes, class of 1959 on 17 January 2018. He adds that "Karen followed TCHS football her entire life."
Jon Greene '60
Reports on Facebook tell of the passing of Jon Greene, class of 1960, in February.

Jon served as a Los Angeles police officer for many years.

Jon was instrumental in organizing a class reunion in 1995. He arranged for a meeting facility at the L.A. Police Academy, an unusual reunion venue, but one much appreciated.

We'll have more information later.
